A Second Criminal Standard of Proof: You're Guilty

From WCBS in New York City, May 21, 2009: 

"Four men due in court Thursday to face charges of plotting to bomb Jewish sites and shoot down military planes were arrested after planting what they thought were explosive devices near a synagogue and community center, authorities say.  The suspects were arrested shortly after planting a mock explosive device in the trunk of a car outside the Riverdale Temple and two mock bombs in the backseat of a car outside the Jewish Center, authorities said. Police blocked their escape with an 18-wheel truck, smashing their tinted SUV windows and while apprehending the unarmed suspects."

As I was reading this, it struck me. Why did they wait so long? I had to hearken back to my first year Criminal Law class at law school. Prosecutors are burdened with proving guilt "beyond a REASONABLE doubt" in criminal litigation. What does this mysterious phrase mean? (The definition of "reasonble" has been the Gordian Knot of common law jurisprudence. It remains so today.) Well, it means that if even one juror is left hesitating as to whether the suspect committed the crime, the suspect goes free. The prosecutor has not met his burden. If you've never been on a criminal jury, you may be somewhat perplexed. Our criminal justice presumes ALL suspects are just that, only suspects.  You are presumed innocent until proven guilty by your peers. This is a sacrosanct underpinning of American jurisprudence.

Back to my point. The FBI and the prosecutors had to wait until the terrorists' hands were in the cookie jar because they knew they would need as much evidence possibly obtainable in order to surmount the high burden of proof in court. Here's my problem with this scenario.  I think we can safely assume that investigators and prosecutors have amassed a shit-ton of evidence clearly showing that these 4 terrorists are guilty. The investigation began back in mid-2008, and they were busted while carrying out their plot. How much more evidence do you need? It's like the burglar of a convenience store who stares into the camera, burgles the store, gets caught, and pleads not guilty. I suspect that these 4 terrorists will get top notch legal representation and will plead not guilty. Millions of taxpayer money will be expended proving a fact. That's the problem folks.

I appreciate our fundamental right to legal representation in criminal trials. Everyone appreciates how John Adams bravely took up the legal representation of the British redcoats responsible for the Boston Massacre. He was lambasted and called a traitor.  The redcoast (kids really), believe it or not, were provoked first. They were terrified of their lives in the face of an angry mob. Here, however, what possibly could be the terrorists' defense?  The prosecutors could use the insanity card - the terrorists were insane and thus did not have the requisite intent necessary to be found guilty of a crime. Again, the meticulousness of the plot will surely destroy that argument if it's ever made. 

Here's my suggestion. Create a second criminal standard: proof beyond ANY doubt. In other words, we're 100% sure you're guilty. This alternative standard will be available for those rare cases where it's absolutely clear to any reasonable person that the "suspect" is guilty.  For instance, if you catch the suspect in the act. Or if the suspect is caught on video. Or DNA evidence. This standard would save millions of dollars a year in mindless representation of those who are clearly, beyond any doubt, guilty. (My assumption here is of course that the jurors will be unanimous in their guilty verdict.) It would lead to a more efficient and orderly judicial system. In turn, it would enhance the constitutional right of access to courts. And as importantly, it would give the over-worked and under-paid federal district court judges a much needed respite from frivolous criminal cases.

MODERN AMERICAN HEROES: DAVID HOROWITZ AND EVERYONE AT FRONTPAGE MAGAZINE

I have been an avid reader of frontpage magazine. It is one of the top sites on the entire Internet because 1) their team of writers are top notch and contribute TRUE journalism noticeably absent in today's traditional media, 2) they promote action against the radicals and provide momentum to counter the most virulent of institutional indoctrination tactics, 3) their perseverance in the face of denouncement by the hecklers at each event, 4) and their continued efforts with the budget constraints they must endure while accomplishing incredible work. If you don't read their site daily, you have committed a sin. Indulging in articles should allow the reader to be informed to the point that they will be able to defend themselves against any counter argument.


I have had them listed on my blogroll for sometime. For those of you who have been involved in organizations in concordance
with this agenda of Horowitz's, consider the possibility that they may be more approachable then it appears. Approachable in the sense that the efforts each group does can only be supplemented by one another. A conscience effort in each state must be taken in order to effectively break the established Left and get this country back on track.


My accolades to the student wing of frontpage magazine called the students for academic freedom. Your work taking on the campus hate is the frontline of the war for the future.

I will continue to write this blog indefinitely because I love this country and all it stands for. The borderline insane Left, conspiracy theorists, racists, moles, and other cancerous individuals are difficult to weed out of the organized movement. I am deeply involved covertly. I am surrounded by some wonderful people who are knee deep in the same or similar issues. As current activists, we are available to you. Personally, I hope to meet Horowitz soon. I missed an opportunity recently but will follow up. His book on the most dangerous profesors was a must read. I went to the University of South Florida. Sami Al-Arian was a major asshole. I saved all the newspapers from the college then. He was in the Middle Eastern studies department. The Jewish professor at the time I won't mention but he was a spineless jellyfish. With no backbone, the Islamic Studies department had freedom to do what it wishes. He could have been a beacon for answering the festering problem of hate at that campus. Let's hope the future is in less jeopardy .

WASHINGTON -- Greed, we are agreed, is bad. It also is strange. It has long been included among the Seven Deadly Sins, which suggests that it is a universal and perennial facet of the human fabric. But the quantity of it, at least in America, responds to political cycles. Greed grows when Republicans hold the presidency. They did so throughout the 1980s, and no less an authority on probity than American journalism named it the Decade of Greed. Furthermore, everyone knows we are in our current economic pickle because greed, which slept through the Clinton administration, was awakened by the Bush administration's tax cuts and deregulation. The day after the 2008 elections, The New York Times (see above: probity, authority thereon) ascribed America's economic unpleasantness to "greed and an orgy of deregulation." The political pendulum swings, so Republicans will capture the presidency now and then, igniting greed revivals.

Greed is difficult to define but we know it when we see it. That person is greedy who earns, or wants to earn, more than is seemly. Unseemliness is difficult to define but we know it when we see it. A seller of something we want to buy is greedy if the price he is asking is not reasonable. Unreasonableness is difficult to define but we know it when we see it.

In the secondary market for tickets to entertainment events, an arena of people sometimes called scalpers, greed exists. So everyone knows that government regulation is required. Everyone except David Harrington, a Kenyon College economist. Writing in Regulation quarterly, he argues that deregulated markets punish greed. Markets know it when they see it.

Studying the Internet site Stubhub, which is owned by eBay, Harrington monitored the secondary market in Ohio State University football tickets for the Oct. 25, 2008, game against Penn State that was attended by a record crowd of 105,771. Stubhub acts as a broker, charging 15 percent from buyers and 10 percent from sellers, who can charge whatever they choose. Generally, a ticket's value depends on the seat's location -- the lower in the stadium and the closer to the 50-yard line the better.

Harrington collected two sets of information, one on Oct. 13, 12 days before the game, the other on Oct. 21, four days before. On Oct. 13 there were 346 sellers offering 682 tickets. Eight days later, 411 sellers were offering 845 tickets. In the interval, Ohio State beat Michigan State and undefeated Penn State beat Michigan, intensifying fans' interest in the game.

Yet the average price of the tickets offered declined from $359 to $304. This was partly because the quality (seat location) of the remaining tickets declined. Also the number of selling days was becoming smaller. Seats at entertainment events are, like airline seats, a perishable inventory: When the plane takes off, or the game begins, the value of an unsold ticket becomes zero.

A greedy seller -- one who priced his tickets too high -- was less likely than other sellers were to sell them two weeks before the game. Hence he had to resort to much deeper discounts than others did as game day, and the potential worthlessness of his assets, drew near. The larger the number of seats available in the secondary market, and the more transparent that market is, thanks to the Internet, the more likely it is that greed will be punished.

To give the greedy their due, they perform a service: By overpricing, they preserve an eve-of-game supply of tickets for persons willing to pay a premium for last-minute impulse purchases. Unfortunately, such persons are apt to be richer than thee, hence presumptively greedy.

Perhaps it would be restful to give moral reasoning a rest and give economic reasoning a chance. Until recently, many states regulated "scalping" by limiting allowable markups of ticket prices, or by outlawing secondary markets for some events. Most of these states have repealed or relaxed those laws, even though a 1997 New York Times editorial demanded more aggressive enforcement of anti-scalping laws lest the public be victimized by "price-gouging ticket agents."

Actually, would-be price gougers are at the mercy of a public armed with information, which is what markets generate and communicate. Greed is worse than a moral defect, it is a cause of foolish pricing. That is why markets know it when they see it. And when markets are allowed to operate, greed generates its own punishment.

Greed: A Deadly Sin or a Necessary Virtue

As an economic libertarian, I've always held the belief that selfishness was a virtue (in an economic sense) but that greed was not. Greed was just this abstract concept that you knew it when you saw it. Greed was evil. Greed was a deadly sin. Gordon Gekko, the main character in the infamous movie Wall Street, was the archetypal evil greedy villain whoultimately landed in jail for breaking the law. Everyone probably remembers the iconic line, "The point is, ladies and gentlemen, that greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right. Greed works." After the financial collapse of 2000 and the financial meltdown of 2008, it was GREED that made the headlines. The greedy CEOs, the greedy executives, the greedy bankers. And on and on.

Well, here's the problem ladies and gentlemen. What the hell is greed anyway? How do you define it? You really can't (unless you use Biblical definitions; but I'll get to why I don't think that works later). Greed in my opinion is simply wanting more than you need. Do we need the Porsche? Do we need the million dollar home? Or better yet, do we need the private jet? Of course not, but we accrue such things because they're nice. They're pretty. They provide convenience. They're a status symbol and of course we all want to feel important and prosperous. But is this evil? Is this a sin? Is taking that golden parachute from a shareholder owned company or taking a contractually promised pension or working your ass off to expand the bottom line for your shareholders an evil act? Of course not. Is it greedy? Sure it is.

But people seem to confuse greed with unlawfulness. The two can be mutually exclusive. You can be greedy but also stay within legal bounds. Insider trading, collusion with your competitors, and back-dating stocks for instance are not acts of greed. Such acts are the mode of operation of short-cutters. (Remember the kid in your class that got As by cheating? Yes we all knew a few.) That is why, as a society, we have outlawed them. They are unequivocally contrary to a vibrant free market economy.

Now what type of greed should we avoid? Well, the Bible defines greed as an obsession with the accumulation of wealth (you can look up the verses yourself). The key is an obsession. An obsession is irrational. It is gluttonous. Another distinguishing factor is the Bible also refers to greedy people as those who seek to amass wealth but are not willing to work for it. Such greed is perhaps a deadly sin.

The point being, it depends on how we define greed. I think a contemporary definition is an innocuous one, wanting and pursuing more than you need. Most importantly, it is absolutely necessary to a vibrant free market economy. Perhaps Gordon Gekko wasn't so wrong after all.

Conservative Organizing But How Much Action..Part III

PART III

The next Supreme Court appointee is going down in the near term and no one is willing to say who is being considered. The "hush, hush" would leave one to suspect the individual will be of the utmost in their controversial views. The Sheik Obama Administration will pick a person who is considerably young and radical. The person will be acclaimed in fairness across the board by the Democrats. The praise will further be touted by the Left Wing media. I expect a 20/20 interview, followed by a CNN special, and a MSNBC(MS-LSD) segment. The countermeasure to this must be voiced within 24 hrs of the announcement. The time frame for voicing any opposition will be short. Letting this appointment pass by without a constant barrage of unprovable by FOX News and the Blogosphere will only allow the Left to keep the appointment. It will also embolden them to continue to make these type of decisions with little reciprocity.
Possible consideration for this position would be anyone's guess. I would venture to believe it will be someone from the ACLU. Further, the person will probably come from a liberal state such as California or New York. Sheik Obama has already made comments speculating the type of empathetic judgements the person would make. Several politicians have alluded to an individual that would represent the Black community. The reasons are primarily based solely on race. Sheik Obama wants this appointment to make decisions sympathetic and typical and reflecting the Black community. The Supreme Court must be representative of the populace at large. What a load of crap!!
The Supreme Court is not a position that is supposed to reflect the populace. It simply is to uphold and interpret the Constitution. The Left may feel if a Black appointee is made, provided another position should become available, another Liberal will be made even more radical. A Judge who will pass the Gay Marriage Bill and one who will support the Reparations for Slavery initiative shall be done. One who is for gun control or willing to completely condemn the 2nd Amendment. If any Judge appointee reflects society in their light, the Court eventually should be made up of a Gay individual, a Liberal Black, a White, an Asian, and so on. In this case, only the most radical of Right advocates should be considered in future Republican appointments. A member of the NRA, for instance. A person 100% against abortion. (Even I believe abortion may be necessary in some very rare instances!)
Let the Left draw the line in the sand! When Bush had the opportunity to make an appointment he considered the other side's feelings. Sheik Obama always says he will take the Republican views in consideration when making the decision and listen to every idea. Only to be followed by the most radical decision he can possibly make, really never taking anyone else's feelings seriously.
Let the Republican Bloggers be prepared for a letter campaign and a protest movement larger than the Tea Party in order to build our presence. Silence from the Right is the Left's best weapon!

Conservative Organizing But How Much Action..Part II

I was involved with a local election recently where "dirty pool" was alive and well. Poster boards along the roadside, which help with name recognition in the voting booths, were being torn down systematically. The last 2 Presidential elections were plagued with a plethora of questionable practices and unlawful acts. ACORN is evil in every act it conducts, right down to intimidation of voters. The Supervisor of elections rigging the results, felons ineligible to vote, illegals voting, college students voting multiple times, and on and on...Most of the acts were committed by the Democratic sympathizers and can be expected as ritualistic practice from here on. Therefore, a countermeasure must be taken.
Everyone who is Republican and everyone associated with any other party must volunteer to monitor the polls. As a volunteer, the ballot boxes can be watched and the coercion by the Left volunteers can be reprimanded immediately and appropriately. When all volunteer positions are filled, a watchdog group should be created armed with video cameras to ensure that if all positions are filled early by Left supporters, the watchdog group will still be capable of catching offenders.
The Right Conservatives should have a review board of to prepare a list of past issues related to election problems to address. Military personal should be encouraged to participate since their votes are always compromised. Circumvention of their voting rights is overtly heinous since they put their "ass on the line" for the voters.

Conservative Organizing But How Much Action..

I went to a meeting of the local 912 aka "The Glen Beck Thing" where I had the dstinguished honor to meet a stand up individual named Allen West. Allen West is African American or Black (for the old school). He is a retired military man who commands attention and carries himself with the kind of pride a Veteran is deserving of. He is running for US Congress and can be reached at his site www.allenwestforcongress.com. His thought is deeply rooted in traditional Conservative values while steering clear of the Right Wing or Left Wing traps other politicians platform.
I spoke with him at length after he addressed the crowd. His speech was profound yet easily understood. The receptive crowd anxiously awaited the Q & A session but was short due to time constraints. Sitting in the crowd, I started to ponder ideas about what all of these notable groups spurred on by FOX News and Right Wing radio have actually done besides "spread the word." People have definitely been motivated to organize and promote the message of the American Ideal. The American Spirit is roaring back and I thank G-D it is.
The first step has been taken to organize and start to answer the garbage the Left Wing Media perpetuates. The cheerleading of the Left politicians is a daily tripe. The Left has addressed one issue at a time and takes the issue all the way to the end as quickly and expeditiously as possible. For instance, Sheik Obama insisted the Stimulus Bill be passed in about 20 hours. He didn't release anything until the last minute but spoke of its urgency relentlessly. Then, putting the pressure on the Right that if it didn't pass immediately, any consequences from the delay of its passage would clearly lay the odus on the Right. And, it passed!
That type of determination and its implementation made it possible. Now, learning from this becomes the key to the Right gaining ground. The work of getting the word out should be done by some while simultaneously others should be implementing the measure. For example, let's take gun control. My friend Texas Fred is a gun advocate who has a website that is extremely rich in content on all Conservative values. His 2nd Amendment feelings are bordering a religious pilgrimage. He is a person I personally look up to and find him to be something of a role model. The gun rights supporters are doing a great job explaining why the Amendment needs to be upheld. What could be the step to take this to the next level? What could be a obstacle both in red tape and in its sheer size? The organized groups of 912, Act for America, Tea Party, Grassroots, I Stand With Israel, and all the others (sorry for not listing everyone) should have conferences together to increase the roster of each group. But, for 2nd Amendment groups, having the NRA provide information at each local meeting and helping people register to get a gun license should be the obstacle I am talking about. By licensing people en mass would create a powerful voice. Local gun shops could distribute literature about the meetings. Therefore, new potential members would hear the Conservative message.

This is a video of the plight of the Ethiopian Jews who returned to Israel. I remember a prior trip to Israel I was on a train traveling towards the north. I was the only white person on the entire car. The car was filled with soldiers speaking fluent Hebrew. I was surrounded by Ethiopians who felt Israel was their homeland. And it is! I have met some Ethiopians and found them to be wonderful people. I cannot show the pictures I have taken with them in order to stay anonymous. Still, when I visit Israel, they find Americans fascinating. I find them to be my favorite people in all of Israel. Please watch and enjoy.

Holocaust Remembrance Day--April 23

While ignorance and hate still beats in the hearts of evil men like Ahmedinajad of Iran, and Daffy Qadaffi of Libya, Saddam Insane of Iraq, and others, the rest of the world mourns the loss of life. This is a Jewish "Scarlett Letter." All mass murder is condemned openly. The Jews do not claim to be the only people who suffered great loss. Everyone should stand together against such acts and the people capable of committing them. The Jews feel overwhelmed with grief over others due to the fact that the near total annihilation of all its people nearly took place. To all the survivors I know, you are to be cherished and admired. To all other people who have felt such terror, you are appreciated. To those lost, I grieve for you and your families.
To the people who condone such acts, who deny they took place, or who are sympathetic to this hate.....F@ck you!





While many may feel this is a sign that common sense still lives within the United Nations, I disagree. The fact that everyone did not walk out or boo him silent or condemn the speech afterwards tells me nothing has changed. The other leaders are disgraceful.

Those Who Ignore History Are Condemned - Somali Piracy in Context

On April 6 in an address to the parliament of Turkey, US President Obama said that the relationship between the United States and the "Muslim world" is an important one. "In fact, our partnership with the Muslim world is critical," the president said. During the same address the President stated, "We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over so many centuries to shape the world for the better, including my own country." Mr. Obama neglected to explain in what way(s) Islam has the shaped and improved the United States. The founding fathers of the United States did not share Mr. Obama's appreciation for the "Islamic faith". In fact Jefferson, Adams, JQ Adams, and Benjamin Franklin were all were deeply concerned about the dangers that Islam represented to the new nation. Our ongoing experiences with the 21st century version of the Barbary pirates off the coast of Somalia, most recently today when an American freighter captain was freed from pirate captivity by the US Navy, illustrates a great deal about our prior relations with the "religion of peace" and how our previous leaders reacted. There is little discussion in the mainstream press about the link between Somali Islamism, piracy, and jihad, but the linkage is there nonetheless.

In spite of the news media distancing the recent attack on a cruise ship off the coast of Somalia from global terrorism, intelligence experts believe this is just the latest operation initiated against the United States and the West by Al-Qaeda. (source)

The irony perhaps is that Islam did in fact play a very important role in the early stages of the development of the United States - Islam was directly responsible for the development of the United States Navy and for the concepts that allowed for its deployment far from our coasts. The American Navy is not a river navy or coastal defense force; it is a global tool of American power whose origins can be traced directly back to an earlier American-Islam confrontation. After the American Revolution, pirates from the Barbary states (Algiers, Morcoco) attacked American shipping off the coast of North Africa in the Mediterranean and took the crews. This piracy against American shipping started in 1784 and finally ended in 1815. The Islamic rulers of these Barbary States demanded payment of tribute from the new country and it was paid, and paid. President Jefferson sent a naval force against the pirates in 1803-05. The Marine Corps were also sent in and after a long overland march, took the city of Tripoli in 1805 (thus "to the shores of Tripoli" in the Marine Corps hymn). Is the Somali piracy of today related to the Barbary pirates of the early 19th century? When then Ambassadors Thomas Jefferson and John Adams met with the Ambassador from Tripoli in 1785, to reach a solution to the attacks against American shipping and crews they were dragged into a dark world in which we are still today.

"When they inquired by what right the Barbary states preyed upon American shipping, enslaving both crews and passengers, America’s two foremost envoys were informed that “it was written in the Koran, that all Nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon whoever they could find and to make Slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.” (Source) The Barbary piracy was based upon the doctrine of Islam, calling for endless war against the unbeliever everywhere, including at sea.

To Muslims in the heyday of Barbary piracy, there were, at least in principle, only two forces at play in the world: the Dar al-Islam, or House of Islam, and the Dar al-Harb, or House of War. The House of Islam meant Muslim governance and the unrivaled authority of the sharia, Islam’s complex system of holy law. The House of War was simply everything that fell outside of the House of Islam — that area of the globe not under Muslim authority, where the infidel ruled. For Muslims, these two houses were perpetually at war — at least until mankind should finally embrace Allah and his teachings as revealed through his prophet, Mohammed.

Today, we are dealing with the same Islam. Islam is considered perfect, unchangable, unchallengable, by adherents. It is the perfect word of the perfect Allah, and carried to the world by the perfect example of humanity for all Muslims to emulate, Mohammed. History has returned, again.

"The Barbary pirates were not a “radical” or “fundamentalist” sect that had twisted religious doctrine for power and politics, or that came to recast aspects of their faith out of some form of insanity. They were simply a North African warrior caste involved in an armed jihad — a mainstream Muslim doctrine. This is how the Muslims understood Barbary piracy and armed jihad at the time, and, indeed, how the physical jihad has been understood since Mohammed revealed it as the prophecy of Allah."

If the United States was unable to fight the pirates, they would be forced to continue to pay extortion to the Barbary States, a kind of high seas jizya. Jefferson immediately determined to fight. When he became president he was able to implement the plans that he had formulated after diplomacy to resolve Barbary piracy had failed. And are we not in the same position now? During a phone conversation with a journalist prior to the attack against them by US Navy SEALs to free the captured American sailor, one of the Somali jihadist/pirates said, "We never kill people. We are Muslims. We are marines, coastguards -- not pirates," one said. Not quite marines, not quite coastguard, at least not in the American sense of the terms.

Paying the ransom would only lead to further demands, Jefferson argued in letters to future presidents John Adams, then America's minister to Great Britain, and James Monroe, then a member of Congress. As Jefferson wrote to Adams in a July 11, 1786, letter, "I acknolege [sic] I very early thought it would be best to effect a peace thro' the medium of war." Paying tribute will merely invite more demands, and even if a coalition proves workable, the only solution is a strong navy that can reach the pirates, Jefferson argued in an August 18, 1786, letter to James Monroe: "The states must see the rod; perhaps it must be felt by some one of them. . . . Every national citizen must wish to see an effective instrument of coercion, and should fear to see it on any other element than the water. A naval force can never endanger our liberties, nor occasion bloodshed; a land force would do both." "From what I learn from the temper of my countrymen and their tenaciousness of their money," Jefferson added in a December 26, 1786, letter to the president of Yale College, Ezra Stiles, "it will be more easy to raise ships and men to fight these pirates into reason, than money to bribe them." (source)

When he became the 3rd President, Jefferson took action, and the United States Navy was sent to deal with the Barbary Coast pirates, which they did.

When Jefferson became president in 1801 he refused to accede to Tripoli's demands for an immediate payment of $225,000 and an annual payment of $25,000. The pasha of Tripoli then declared war on the United States. We can trace the development of the US Navy directly to Thomas Jefferson's interaction with jihadist pirates. President Obama was right about the "Islamic faith" having "done so much over the centuries to shape the world — including in my own country," but probably not in the way that he had intended. The development of our national defense capabilities are fundamentally linked with an American conflict with Islam in 1805. John Quincy Adams didn't have to deal with the Barbary States directly as president, but his father John Adams did. Considered one of the most brilliant men to sit in the White House, JQ Adams is particularly perceptive about Islam. His warnings on the matter ring as true today as they did more than 100 years ago. The Islam that Adams discusses is the same Islam we see today.

John Quincy Adams possessed a remarkably clear, uncompromised understanding of the permanent Islamic institutions of jihad war and dhimmitude. Regarding jihad, Adams states in his essay series,

There is a certain bizarre justice here that our Navy ships were on hand to effect the release of an American ship captain through military action against Somali pirates likely affiliated with Islamism because of events that occurred with other Islamist pirates more than 200 years ago. When you hear in the mainstream press pundits and commentators saying that the Somali piracy is "unprecedented", don't believe it because it is not so. And don't believe that our current struggle with political Islam is also unprecedented. This is a conflict of 1400 years. Since 9/11 some of us have accepted this truth. LEFRAK: PERMANENT STATUS TO IMMIGRANTS IF BUY HOUSE TO REMOVE SURPLUS

I was watching the MSNBC channel this morning. They have on a guest expert every morning. The CEO/President of an investment group called Lefrak. While I believe these investors are top notch, the solution to the housing crisis was just poor. The Lefrak President was asked for his expert opinion on solving the housing surplus. His answer: immigrants. Allowing them to buy houses would gobble up the 2,000,000 oversupply of housing.
What is wrong with this? I don't have time to address everything wrong with this answer but.....I am shocked he would entertain such an answer. He did say they must qualify. Still, the fact remains buying a house with qualified immigrants opens the door for every other problem associated with immigrants increasing. This would cause so many other problems to explode in size, it is hard to believe he suggested it.
Maybe that solution would help cars, too. Should immigrants be given loans for cars and houses. What would qualifications be if different from a citizen? I am beginning to wonder what the difference is between being a citizen and every other status?
Desperation is starting to turn to stupidity. Let's keep calm. Other solutions are out there. Ideas for more appropriate solutions: incentives to all returning soldiers, more incentives for first time buyers, discounted loans for housing for disaster relief citizens. Instead of refurbishing old housing projects which would cost more money than they are worth, replace housing projects with moderate priced new housing. Then use the old projects for homeless shelters, for new jails, for new schools, or use for new government offices rather than building new.
Don't complicate the problem, please. Don't even provide the Left with irrational motivation for their causes. I have hope that American ingenuity will prevail with ideas for the existing housing issues. Or simply, the idea was thrown out there during the show because the Left have altered the MSNBC show because it was too Right? Whatever? This idea was rucking fidiculous!

This picture of the Tea Party downtown West Palm Beach was used on the front page of the local rag. The paper claims that between 600 and 1000 people participated in the protest. I participated by being present. The volunteers gathered nearly 2000 signatures . The paper acknowledges 800 cities were included. The Left zombie-fied socialists have insisted that the participants are "red Necks", "racists", "hate a black man", "spiteful rich", etc. The portrayal of this view by the local compost is clearly seen underneath the picture where it states,"'This is a land grab for socialism', a yacht broker says at the West Palm demonstration." The paper failed to interview and quote any of the leaders or volunteers identified easily by their tags. The volunteers were moms and dads, doctors, lawyers, construction workers, and all races and nationalities. I recommend everyone who was at the Tea Party write to the paper and if a retraction isn't given then they should consider canceling their subscription.

CASTRO IS OUR NEW BEST FRIEND

All of a sudden the Black Caucas decided to visit Castro and declare him the "Little Messiah." That the past 50 years has been forgiven! Forgiven? Maybe I should ask, " he is now immortalized?" Are we to believe that he has shown the US has had a foolish policy towards Cuba which should immediately be abandoned? Hmm.... Instead, Castro's policies should be revered for their outstanding achievement?!? Cuba has a very high literacy rate. Cuba has implimented socialized medicine which the US needs to catch up with. Well.....that is a load of BULLSHIT!
Castro is a Communist/Socialist. This form of government was the enemy of the US for approx 75 years. While living through the Cold War in my younger years, the never ending threat of attack from the Communist Block was possible. The allegiance of the Russians was the cause of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Today, the questionable status of the Russians as friend or foe should be revisited when reviewing any policy towards Cuba.
The Cuban regime was never tolerant towards any criticism. Any opposition to the government was met with death or jail. The political asylum given to all Cubans who make it to our shores is because of this Communist policy.
The seizure of all private property when the Cuban Revolution took place was instituted. In a government like Cuba's, private property is a freedom no longer enjoyed. All the property was confiscated with no compensation to land owners.
The emptying of all mental institutions and jails was implemented in 1980. When the people were sent sailing, they were left to themselves. If the ships sank or anyone got sick didn't matter. Left to their own devices, the former Cubans hoped to make it to the US. This is a questionable Human Rights violation. Plus, some of these people in jail had trumped up charges. All were given no choice. Leave or die.
Religious tolerance is low. In most Communist regimes, religion is banned. Forget Scientology Tom Cruise, Dianetics Mr Hubbard, Islam, Judaism, Etc.
AIDS victims are isolated from the rest of the population in order to quarantine the disease. While it will stop its spread, is it
fair to the victims who have no choice but to cooperate.
Finally, he took over the country in a coup. He used the guerilla military to violently take over. No voting took place. Many were murdered and many fled. By allowing this government "normalized" status, it will bring it the legitimacy it has been craving for 50 years.

SOMALI PIRATES GET FOREIGN AID FROM...THE UNITED STATES

The Sheik of the United States has given the okay to "take out" the Somali pirates. Curiously, the military left one alive and is transporting him toward American shores for a trial. This case is coming to the US Court system because the jurisdiction is determined by UN order which has declared that any ship is considered part of the country from which it is come. FOr example, its an extension of the country's border. What could explain the motive to leave one alive?
First, the captive is under the age of 18. Therefore, he is considered a juvenile. As a juvenile, the court must decide whether he is to be tried as a child or adult. He will be given a lawyer at taxpayer expense. Whether he is tried as an adult or not, the media will continually remind the public of his "under age status" for certain. This will create sympathy for his situation and diminish the momentum of the public to punish harshly and appropriately.
More importantly, he intends to use this Somali to generate attention to WHY this pirate is participating in such action. This will lead to Sheik Obama's hidden agenda to start providing financial aid to the Somalis. The economy will be the blamed for the piracy action that has plagued the world in Somalia. Instead of military intervention, the appeaser will continue to burden the citizens of this country with aid to Somalia. Welcome to typical Left policy.........Rucking Fidiculous!

GREEN EGGS AND HAM.......NOT PIZZA! SORRY, DR SEUSS

The "Green" movement has plenty of merit. Yet, I wish the free market would dictate the consumer market rather than the President and Congress forcing a "no choice in the matter" marketplace. As a consumer, I feel we should be allowed to make choices which we decide for ourselves, without government intervention. No matter what the intention, the choice to buy what we wish from a vast amount of products defines the term "free markets."
The government is taking control of what choices we can have, including the option of no choice. For example,we are being led to believe we MUST buy this new type of light bulbs because they are better for the environment. Regardless of the cost, the choice will be taken away from us to buy the old type of bulb. The intention for better conservation is good. But in practice, this policy is poor because the mercury in the bulbs is negating the positive attributes (the efficiency). Therefore, I personally find the choice foolhardy. Another example, the toilets we use will no longer use as much water when we flush them in order to conserve water. The new toilets must use 3.8 liters (by law). Another green idea gone bad. Many complaints have been voiced recently about the necessity to do multiple flushes in order to empty the contents of the new toilets. In the Green defense, in Israel, the toilets use much less water and are much more effective. They use a two handle toilet which uses a small handle for urine and a large handle for number 2. The user can use less water when less is needed. When a real "ferguson type flush" is necessary, you get the water power necessary to empty the "john" properly. But by law...? I believe the American consumer is smarter than the government. A toilet that saves water and works properly and decreases the water bill will pay for itself. Therefore, all landlords and home owners will make the best choice eventually. The government should have no part in the decision.
So, when someone abuses their power of choice and buys a gas guzzler car, they get a gas guzzler tax. And they pay more at the pump. But should the choice be taken away entirely. Sheik Obama made the "Green" movement his mantra. He criticizes car manufacturers and the energy industry at large. But, when the Sheik buys pizza from his home state and flies it into DC no media outlet says a word. For shame!

WORLD POLICY TOWARDS NORTH KOREA IS ABSOLUTELY MEANINGLESS!

Okay, so the Koreans decided that testing a missile is nothing more than a satellite deployment. Many people are trying to interpret what the heck is the real message. I believe the assumption that the launch is advertising for the arms sales to rogue states is more in tune. The North Koreans picked an opportune time with Sheik Obama in Europe for the G20. G20? It is well underway to becoming a traveling circus sideshow of the ineffective UN. But that's another post. The same message of unapproval without consequences by the EU towards Islamic terrorism is preached to the Koreans. The same message of no action taken and undermining US policy.
The Koreans were advertising not only its new missile to the rogue countries of the world but, the okay to buy them without the fear of US ramifications. It's okay to continue pursuing nuclear material development because no real ill will befall you. This is also a message from the EU that the US is not a leader. Sure they trip over themselves to take pictures with our Sheik, but the EU leadership obviously convinced Sheik Obama to admit guilt towards the world eonomic collapse. I saw the speech given by Sheik Obama and it had a happy message without one real idea said.
The attention given to the Koreans is "advertising during the superbowl." The world will become more dangerous while we preach about reducing our stockpile of weapons. I suggest we take heart with former President Reagan again. Pres. Reagan suggested building a "Star Wars" missile defense system or laser defense system to neutralize the threat. It doesn't increase our nuclear stockpile while addressing the ICBM threat. Also, it will show our military superiority to the rogue nations. It will not stop the "dirty bomb" threat but ideas for this are still being developed.
It is our position in the world to be a leader. It is not arrogance! The US can be a follower and admit to the EU being the leader. What other position would you expect them to take! It is their arrogance to have Sheik Obama consul that position. The ineffective position the EU has towards terrorism, economy, and foreign policy show me they have no leadership skills. Let's stop talking and take action. If our "friends" won't make commitments we want then we need to find backbone elsewhere.

HA'ARETZ LIBERAL VIEWS MAKE ME SICK-ISRAEL VISIT POST

Hello Readers,
I have been working intensely the last 3 weeks in anticipation of this trip. I am in Israel right now for a vacation. My location is ...undisclosed, thank you! I am writing in my hotel where the internet leaves me a little wanting for the nearest Panera restaurant. If anyone is interested in my last visit, I was here about 6 months ago when I learned about the mass amount of French Jews who made Aliyah due to the intolerable conditions the Arabs have imposed in France. Checkout the posts with pictures in my old posts. I am keeping this particular post personal and simple..a stray from my regular post. I noted that the hotel has a number of newspapers available to read for the guests and thankfully, some are in English. My Hebrew is terrible!
I glanced through the articles in order to get a feeling with what's doing here daily. I read in the Ha'Aretz newspaper that negotiations are taking place for the release of the captive Israeli Gilad Shalit. This soldier was captured quite a while ago by terrorists. Apparently, the Left Wing activists feel no need to call for his release. In the extreme Left paper Ha'Aretz, everyday they portray the "devil's advocate" and publish articles about how the negotiations could help Palestinians. The hope is for the release of prisoners who have participated in murder and terror activity for the release of Shalit. What purpose does the continued plight of the prisoners who have commited murder serve when the Jewish paper makes them out to be victims. What a topsy-turvy portrayal! I took a picture of the article to show that on the same page is another attack by terrorists. This time they have killed two policemen! The irony and insult of putting both articles in such close proximity suggests to me that this paper is extremely misguided. The victims of the murderers is lost over time while the prisoners who did the murder now have their hopes raised of a possible release. And why? Because another crime of kidnapping was committed. The rights of the prisoners has been looked after by the Red Cross. The Red Cross has become something of a political puppet in its attempt to do righteous and merciful acts. While Christianity believes forgiveness, Judaism is more renown for "an eye for an eye." The prisoners were well taken care of by Israel. If they weren't, the media would catch wind of it through the Red Cross. Why aren't they transfixed on how the Israeli prisoners is?
I fear for the Israeli family of the Shalit and truly hope they have their loved one home soon and in good shape. However, the release of murderers should be reviewed before following through. The Left have infiltrated their thoughts on the Israeli population by buying the newspapers and changing perspective in what is published. Brainwashing works when it goes relatively undetected. I truly long for the days of Yitzhak Shamir! And, of course, Rabbi Kahane!

ISRAELS INAPPROPRIATE RESPONSE TO GAZA! IT'S A SHAME, SHAME, SHAME!

The Israelis got a lot of negative coverage during the Gaza uproar. While the Gaza terrorists initiated the attacks, the media downplayed the immediate rush to judgement by media critics. On the other hand, the intensely "documented" response was met brutally by the Palestinian and Arab propaganda machine. We had sources of questionable nature providing "evidence" of Israel response showing the ugly collateral damage side of war. Did the response receive the press it deserved? Let's take a look for the second time this year.....

CONSTRUCTION PROPOSAL FOR THE OBAMA STIMULUS BILL TO GENERATE WORK FOR AMERICANS: IDEA #1

The Stimulus Bill, which provides condoms to de-stimulate people's sex drive, is aimed at creating construction jobs for the masses. There is no guarantee the jobs will be generated solely for Americans. By explicit differentiation of terms, Americans should be delegated all jobs concerning any project the money is alloted to. Versus jobs created by American taxpayers going to illegal immigrants. The fine print refuses to express this properly due to the fact that the illegals are a constituency base for the Democrats.
The projects being considered for funds (approved?) are the rebuilding of roads and bridges, supertrains, and refurbishing of government buildings (wasn't a lavish office redo one of their gripes of the Congressional committee on this). A worthy cause considering the bridge collapse last year. But is there a better, more urgent idea that stops the bleeding of another problem. The building of the wall along the border for the entire length of the border. The wall could be built to create jobs in every state along the border. The wall would stop the illegal immigration problem. In addition, it will increase the number of applicants for immigrating into the US. That would create more jobs and tax fees for the government. All costs associated with illegals, like crime, overloading the health care system and educationally system would no longer be bleeding money.


A second asset would be the generation of a finite illegal immigration population. In other words, a manageable problem. The construction jobs that have been stolen (yes, stolen) by the illegal masses have been detrimental to the Black community. Why? Because the many jobs in construction were performed by the Black community. When the illegals replaced them with a much lower salary, they lost their jobs. The retribution to the Black community should be addressed by hiring the Black community to become border guards. Irony brings smiles to the wronged! If anyone can do the job with the gusto necessary, the community damaged the most is it.
If our representatives actually read the bill passed recently, they would realize the poor context written and the half-assed job done by the authors. The ideas were written with haste. Apparently, nobody felt compelled to review it and contribute refined plans. Finally, the lack of brilliance in its presentation shows through and through. If this is the best we can do, what would the worst possibly be? Do yourself a favor....watch "I'm Just A Bill, I'm Only A Bill" by Schoolhouse Rock. For G-d sake, send the idiots in Congress a copy!

JOSEPH LIEBERMANN DEFINITELY NOT PRO-ISRAEL

I went to see Liebermann when he came to my area locally in order to show his support for McCain (while running for President). He spoke about his undying loyalty towards supporting Israel. He went on to say that the Republicans have become the guardians for Israel and have properly recognized Israel's importance as an ally. He took the bold step to actually cross party lines based on principle, deciding to designate his party affiliation as "independent" rather than Dem or Rep.
Senator Liebermann has a nasty habit of speaking out for Israel and voting against Israel! That's right! He voted several years ago when a bill came up for sending approx $200 million to Israel. The purpose was to help boost the economy there because a terrorist attack during Passover. Only two Senators stopped the passing temporarily because the of the threat of philibuster. The threat was due to the fact that no provisions were made for the Palestinian economy. The argument was that the terror attack was more detramental to their livelihood and needed to be addressed additionally. The two senators were: Shmuck Schumer, a jew and Liebermann aka pruneface. These dumb Jews forced an earmark for $50 million to be granted to the Palestinians. First, they were the perpetrators of the attack. Second, how many Senators would have represented the Israeli situation had the shoe been on the other foot? None. These two Jews should NEVER be voted back into office.
In keeping with the tradition to constantly vote against Israel and America, both Schmuck Schumer and Liebermann voted for the Stimulus Bill. As per my prior post, the bill set aside money for Palestinian terrorists to immigrate to the US. I plan on keeping a record for these 2 Senators. I will make sure when they are up for reelection, the public is aware of their poor judgement.

It's Valentine's Day weekend and the Islamic terror groug the Taliban have decided to celebrate in an unusual manner: Beheading! The religion that has brought us terror, threats, bombing, inequality for women, intolerance of others besides their own, Sharia Law, and all the other great things belonging to Islam, has now decided to remind us of the humanitarian attitude it takes towards its prisoners. The Taliban, who are arguably the closest real entity exemplifying Sharia Law, have beheaded their captive. The outrage and shock from the Human Rights organizations is deafeningly......silent. The Islamic world's outrage over the Polish man's civil rights being violated are ..... silent?! Where is the proper react by everyone when a man is beheaded..on video?! The voices of the ACLU, the anti-war groups, etc. who screamed the prisoners at Gitmo were being tortured (TORTURED!!) are strangely silent now. This should make perfectly clear that an agenda is being forced upon society that deliberately picks and chooses when it in their best interest to sound the alarm.
What is the reaction on the biggest Muslim media organization? Well, the sound or inclination of their reporting appear to blame the Polish for not meeting the Taliban demands. No criticism about the violation of this man's civil rights. No mention of the violation of the Geneva Convention. No mention of the West's disgusted reaction. No quotations from officials.

The Jews have done it again! Yep, congratulations! The Sheik Obama has allocated at least $20 million dollars towards resettling Palestinians (particularly Hamas) in the US with TAX PAYER MONEY! Wow, that will stimulate jobs galore. How? Security industry has just been given the proverbial shot in the arm with this concern. The President wanted to rush (no, not Limbaugh) the darn bill through in a covert cover up scam where money will be given to get this going. Brilliantly pointed out by pajamas media, the Bill was rushed because the Israeli election became the catalyst for this. If Netanyahu wins aka the Right Wing Party, then the money will go for "needs of Palestinian refugees and conflict victims in Gaza."

I blame the Republicans for this garbage. Bush made national security the primary issue and here the issue is not only compromised but officially dead. Stop the insanity. This issue alone could have been used to crush the administration. There is no compromise with the Left. The Republicans better do something Monday. Otherwise, they are just as responsible for the bill. The three irresponsible Republicans that agreed to go along with the bill should be black listed immediately. Next time up, not supported by the party for reelection. The opportunity to allow the dems to take full responsibilty for this trash was diminished and allowed Dems to say it bipartisan. Unify and destroy. Divided voting compromises your position and your already in a minority situation. Letting this go and not pressing the matter is a mistake. Just because it passed doesn't mean public outcry can't change matters.
Jewish organizations are fair game for criticism. I find the stereotypical Liberal Jew is a supporter of this measure regardless of the consequences. They feel the Dems would never steer them wrong. Also, they would buy into any argument in support of it. They have a record of bending over backwards to appease those that hate them in a gesture to prove how understanding they are to others. Stupid? Extremely. They bought the ingenious argument that Barack Obama (aka the Sheik) is similar to Ba-ruch. Ba-ruch is the word in HEBREW for blessed. Barack is ARABIC for the same. But the Jews bought the point. Sheik Obama is the antithesis of everything Jews should hold dear. I am ashamed of these Jews. I am NOT a Jew for Jesus. I DO support the Christian groups and organizations because they are good people with beliefs that are rooted in our common Old Testament. Common ground is not hard to find. I belonged to an Orthodox synagogue. I find Orthodox Jews have common views with Christians and secular Jews baffling.
I know I have been an advocate for Act for America. Also, I have written several times about them. They deserve more praise then I have done, and for that I am sorry. They pressed the matter already to the Sheik Obama administration. They had signatures totaling at about 9000 in opposition to the possible misuse of funds to Hama immigration. I only hope my darling, Bridget Gabriel gets of FOX and educates the public. If Hamas is allowed here, G-d help us all.

911 CAUSED THE ECONOMIC DOWNTURN

The Islamic fundamentalist extremists that have America in their crosshairs have accomplished their goals. Delusions of grandeur over Islams rightful place ruling the world with Sharia Law under a Khilafah have perpetuated enemy governments and citizens alike to take action to fulfill this dream. The image of the destruction of the "Little Satan" (Israel) and the "Great Satan" (America) is believed to be paramount in the baby steps in this direction. Have they nearly achieved their goal? What can be used as a barometer to determine how close they are?
The destruction of the economy of America would be quite impressive. The destruction of the world economy would be unfathomable. An effort to strike fear into the citizenry, break down world economic power, and the destruction of an iconic symbol would accomplish everything in one felled swoop. Did the 911 Islamic terrorists bring all three to fruition? YES!
One, the terrorists have caused the populace to be deeply concerned about the stability and security of the future, even fearful. Everytime someone goes to the airport, one is reminded of the 911 incident. Everytime a plane crashes, the thought of terror being the cause is never far from anyone's mind. In countries routinely having attacks, India and Israel for example, the citizens are living daily with the threat.
Second, the destruction of any and all symbols representing anything besides Islam. The symbol which was 3000 years old representing Buddhism was blown up by the Taliban in Afghanistan. This made international news but resulted in little outcry by any of the usual groups that respond to such Barbary. The tactic to replace these type of symbols, permanently with Islamic ones, has been practiced for ages. A more renown example is the Dome of the Rock. It has taken the place of the Jewish and Christian symbols that have been there. The destruction of the World Trade Center was a tremendous venture. Its downfall struck terror into the hearts of all Americans. Was this the first attack on American soil? If it wasn't, why didn't we wake up? Did prior attacks create a numb attitude allowing this act to happen? The first attack on American soil was against the great leader of the Jewish Right Wing, Rabbi Kahane. Everyone downplayed the incident. Everyone was steadfast in covering up the attack, finding any excuse except the real reason(s). He was killed because he was feared, like all great leaders. He was attacked by a terrorist because homeland terror was never in the limelight in regards to Muslims like it is today. The attacker was considered mentally sick, not racist. Hate was never entertained as a motive! Has nearly 18 years since Kahane's murder past changed attitudes? No. The LAX attack by a Muslim against El Al airlines passengers was the exact same perception! So recognition of all attacks would be beneficial because the extent of the problem needs to be properly surveyed first. Until we do that, we are always at risk. Not acknowledging it also creates the numb reaction by the public, bordering on condoning it in a sense. Getting back to the Trade Center, it is the backbone to the US economic essence and prowess. It is a symbol of a Paganistic Western religion practiced by infidels . A capitalistic government which is in opposition to a Sharia led state. Also, it would cause the economy tremendous cost. The catalyst to bring monies not readily available for rebuilding into the fray. The money would not be available for anything else, either. This was the very tactic used by .......Ronald Reagan. That's right! Ronald Reagan, who I admire greatly, inadvertently gave the idea to the terrorists. RR(Ron Reagan) built up the military in the US to the point that the Russians couldn't meet us dollar for dollar. This overwhelmed the Russian economy and undermined its society to the point that the government failed. The almighty KGB and Communist Bear had an image of being an immense behemoth, virtually unstoppable. When I witnessed its downfall, I was utterly stunned! So, if I were told the Cold War would be over without a missile ever being shot, I never would have ever believed it. The same tactic used to bring the Communist Block down is obviously being conducted in a covert manner to us by the terrorists. The fall of the banks and other financial institutions arguably started when the employees working in the World Trade Center were killed in the attack. This started the collapse of the banking by compromising their staff overseeing financial transactions. Additionally, the other businesses which were attacked compromised their positions in their industries. The monies used by our local, state, and federal branches that were diverted in the aftermath, were earmarked for other priorities beforehand. This further bludgeoned the marketplace.
The ripple effect was vast amounts of "changes" in the society, in general, about how we conduct business and how much it would cost to adapt to stifle the new fearful situation. The money was spent on intelligence, security initiatives, military, restructuring and more. The public was willing to do anything. So, money was okayed for everything deemed necessary. Americans wanted to return to prosperity and business as usual ASAP. A housing boom and market rebound was distracting enough to allow the consumer to put things behind them. I find the US has a very short term memory. At this point, we were compromised financially to the point where if anything else went wrong, we were helpless to stop it if it required money thrown at it. Well, the market tanked. This led to a governmental change to the liberal theology of Sheik Obama now. The imminent failure of the stimulus bill will be realized in the coming months. The fall of capitalism as we know it is over. The world invested in the "market" with insatiable lust and greed. The Europeans like to blame the US for the worldwide financial crash solely, but other countries, like Dubai and others, simply had an irrational outlook to future growth, too. The world slump will motivate a "revolutionary" change and action, not unlike the riots starting up in France now. Further downturn will lead to more disgust and make the environment right for the change. The chaos will distract the West's attention and allow terrorists the opportunity for furthering their agenda, unlike any other time in history.
Recognizing the problem will allow prudent changes by responsible representatives. This will tangentially throw bad policy where it belongs. Slow and painful years upcoming will have to take its course. Eventually, capitalism will champion growth properly. The future could be economically stronger than ever before with the modernization of the 3rd world and restructuring of Western democracies. Let's hope we have the foresight to go in the right direction expeditiously.

FIRE COAL MINERS AND FINE POWER COMPANIES!! WONDERFUL!!

Stimulus Bill means building a frisbee park and funding contraceptives!! That is not very stimulating. How many permanent high paying long term jobs can that produce? I could throw litter on the floor in my neighborhood and have the local sanitation company pay someone to pick it up. I could litter everyday and encourage everyone I know to litter. That would create multiple jobs, and I didn't spend any time or money in the process. No debate in XCongress was necessary.
Didn't Sheik Obama make campaign promises that helped get him elected people are started to forget about. Today, I focus on the promise to get off coal burning and oil. He promised to heftily tax the coal mining industry in order to encourage them to stop. And didn't he promise to fine any power companies that didn't stop utilizing coal and oil to generate power? This subject was criticized upon initially being said but has since been put on the back burner due to the economy and housing. The jobs associated with these industries are definitely in no financial condition to convert operations to alternative energy production. Therefore, Republicans were right all along.
While I believe it is possible to move towards alternatives, allowing the industry to move in a fiscally responsible manner is the only way to avoid the pitfalls now plaguing the financial industry and the housing. These are all fine examples of government interference causing havok unnecessarily. The word Czar used by the Sheik Obama's administration should be the indicator to warning the public that the government is over stepping its bounds. (EX. Autos!)
If the stimulus bill is supposed to create jobs in a failing economy, let's keep the jobs we have that aren't in jeopardy. When the economy reverts back to a plus side growth, the investment in new alternative energy tech will be produced by the private sector to achieve the goals we want in a fiscally responsible manner.

Catherine Martin Forges Ahead

Hillary Clinton has officially been sworn in to replace Condoleeza Rice as Secretary of State. And, now, Sharon Bulova has won Virginia’s Fairfax County Chair, left vacant by Gerry Connolly. The stage is set, and it will not be long before a public battle on behalf of America’s communities is waged by Virginia’s 10th District Representative Frank Wolf and ACT! For America’s Northern Virginia DC Metro Chapter Head Catherine Martin. Brigitte Gabriel’s ACT! For America may be the strongest new political grassroots movement to hit the American national scene in the wake of 9/11. With a 50,000 strong membership and a steady influx of new recruits and volunteers, ACT! for America’s chapters span across the United States and beyond. I recently had a chance to sit down and discuss the street level activities of ACT! for America with the NoVa/DCMetro chapter head Catherine Martin, who has made it her life mission to “educate United States citizens as to the threat of radical Islam”. With a volunteer staff of 70 committed Virginia and DC activists, Catherine Martin understands full well that her chapter is in the vortex of a brewing storm.
“The question of the legality of the Islamic Saudi Academy’s curriculum in Fairfax County is not going away,” Catherine says matter of factly. “As a mother and as an American, I find it outrageous that the school teaches children to hate Americans, Christians and Jews. Brigitte Gabriel’s ACT! for America is supporting us all the way on this mission as we continue our fight against ISA’s jihadi indoctrination right in our very own backyards - as we bring the issue directly to the people of Virginia and across America. Representative Frank Wolf has been an ally and strong advocate for us at ACT! for America. When a coalition of groups here in Virginia demanded that the Islamic Saudi Academy be investigated for having anti-American and anti-Israel teachings in their textbooks, Congressman Wolf sent four letters to the State Department requesting an investigation of the school and its curriculum. Since our grievance has not yet been fully addressed and the election cycle has ran its course, we will immediately engage the new leadership on behalf of our communities. A fifth letter from Congressman Wolf is waiting at the State Department for the incoming Secretary of State.”

When asked what this fifth letter was designed to accomplish, Martin notes that, “Hillary Clinton is replacing Condoleeza Rice in the State Department, so we now have a fresh opportunity to have our concerns heard at the State Department level. What most Virginia and DC residents are unaware of is the fact that when the original letters were issued by Congressman Wolf’s office, the State Department decided to bounce the request to the Fairfax County Supervisor, Gerry Connolly. Connolly refused to launch an investigation of the school and actually referred to ACT! for America and Representative Wolf as bigots for requesting the investigation of the Islamic Saudi Academy. Empty, racially charged, accusations from the likes of Connolly do not change the facts or the texts in question. So, we are now taking our reasoned concerns about ISA’s curriculum of hate to Hillary Clinton and are prepared, if necessary, to confront the Fairfax County Supervisor Chair, Sharon Bulova, should the new Secretary of State refuse to see the writing on the wall and attempt to evade the truth by passing the hot potato down the line. With allies like John Cosgrove over at United Action Committee, Jim and Andrea Lafferty with the Traditional Values Coalition, and Christine Brim at the Center for Security Policy rallying to defend American communities, the Islamic Saudi Academy will be forced to close its doors or submit to being subject to a transparent curriculum. ACT! For America’s battle with the ISA over its curriculum is only beginning.”
Last June 25th, Chuck Hagee noted in the Mount Vernon Gazette that “debate about the school’s curriculum was ignited in October 2007 when the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom issued a report calling for the school’s closure ‘until such time as the official Saudi textbooks used at the ISA are made available for comprehensive public examination in the United States.’” In addition to the USCIRF report, Hagee notes in a September 24th follow-up piece that “To buttress his request, Wolf included a recent report by the Heritage Foundation that stated ‘ISA is subject to the terms of the Foreign Missions Act’ and that it is within the State Department’s powers to declare ISA ‘a foreign mission of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.’” The article closes with Gerald Connolly remarking on the absence of Commission or State Department objection to the lease renewal to ISA or the textbook controversy in a public hearing on the matters before the Board.
When discussing the Hagee articles with Catherine Martin, I asked why nothing was mentioned of the Valedictorian of the ISA program, that was captured for attempting to assassinate President Bush. “The Islamic Saudi Academy is a private school under the umbrella of the Royal Saudi Academy and is but one of twenty Saudi funded schools in the United States.” Catherine continues, “With the mountains of evidence in the USCIRF findings and the August 2008 New English Review article Behind the Veil at the Saudi Academy by Jerry Gordon and Isabella Cruz, which relates the shocking accounts of former ISA faculty members, the implications of the assassination plot on our President would not bode well for the continued operation of all twenty of the U.S. Madrassas. But the fact of the matter is that if the Islamic Saudi Academy is revealed as a breeding ground for future terrorists against the United States and Israel then every state with a Royal Saudi Academy would voice their concern. What will it take to expose the school? What will it take to have the county refuse to renew their lease and shut them down here in Virginia? It certainly doesn’t matter to the school’s supporters (ala Gerry Connolly), that a past valedictorian was part of the nationally known paint-ball terror cell whose mission was to assassinate the President of the United States. Others who have attended the school have also supported jihad against the United States. These facts beg the question: since when is it okay for us to have a school for terrorists in the United States? The State Department has a duty to make a ruling on the ISA curriculum here in Fairfax, so that other state and county seats can properly meet the threat of radical Islam across America.”
Moving on from the ISA topic, in closing, I asked Catherine Martin what other projects were ramping up for the ACT! for America NoVa/DCMetro chapter for February. Without skipping a beat, Martin forges ahead, “For this month, the ACT! For America Northern Virginia/DC Chapter is working with the United American Committee on a major problem that is happening in our local college, George Mason University (GMU). We have discovered that GMU has taken money from the Islamic Supremacist organization IIIT to establish an Islamic Studies Chair for the school. This is the continuation of Islamist domination at GMU preceded by: the student meditation room being converted to a mosque; the installation of footbaths at the tax payer’s expense; a school treasurer using her GMU webpage to solicit donations for local madrassas; the school’s establishment of a Halal menu; and lastly, the forcing out of critical members of the staff. Our goal will be to reverse the process of Islamist influence at GMU. ACT! For America and the United American Committee will put significant pressure on GMU and elected officials this month. GMU’s acceptance of $1.5 million from IIIT will not be answered with silent assent. The ACT! For America NoVa/DC Chapter has also been invited to attend the screening of the Christian Action Network’s documentary, Homegrown Jihad: Terrorist Camps Around U.S. on February 11th at 7:30pm at the Landmark Theater in Washington DC (between 11th and E Street). The movie is about radical Islamic compounds that are currently operating around the United States under the direction of an international terrorist. We are supporting this movie and encourage everyone in the DC area to attend. Documentaries like this prove that Radical Islam is on the move in communities all over the United States.”

TIME's Middle East Blog: Profiles in Courage

Yes, yes, yes !!! I definitely agree with the comments of the Chinese reader: TIME is totally responsible for the water problems in China and NOT the Chinese government. My friend Tad Stoner was a member of Time's Hong Kong bureau 25 years ago. It was your responsibility Tad to tell Mao Tse Dung and the Gang of Four that their water policies were completely wrong. And please don't give us any wimpy excuses about a: "bamboo curtain". Haven't you ever heard of a parachute, Stoner ??? (Angilina Jolie had no problems getting into China in her Laura Mars movie). Obviously, what's needed in Time's Hong Kong bureau are men of courage like Time's Jerusalem correspondent: Tim Mc Girk (who I affectionately refer to as: "Tim the Jerk") and Time's Cairo correspondent: Scott Mac Leod. For example: when a rock crashed thru a car's windshield causing an Arab boy "skin abrasions" (his father sitting right next to him was totally unharmed) Time's Tim McGirk had the "strength of character" and the "morale fortitude" to compare this to the Rodney King beatings. And: while Egyptian border guards routinely shot Sudanese refugees in the back while they attempted to seek asylum in Israel, Time's Scott Mac Leod had the courage to ask: "When is Dennis Ross coming back?". Okay, okay, I know what you are all going to say: "that when someone even mentions criticizing Egypt's Hosni Mubarak, diarrhea begins to run down Scott Mac Leod's leg". Yet, that's beside the point !!! Egypt's newspapers and media routinely denounce the abuses of the Mubarak dictatorship. For Scott Mac Leod to add his voice to this chorus would simply be: "a mosquito on an elephant's ass". What I say is that Tim McGirk and Scott MacLeod are two lone reeds standing firm against the hurricane of support for Israel. If they were in Hong Kong they'd tell that communist regime a thing or two. In conclusion: Members of the Hong Kong bureau: shape up quick or you too may find yourselves living on some island in the Gulf of Mexico.
